I also bet there are a few of us out here that are also "put off" a bit by your and sr71's post. There is no where in the OP's post that says anybody will be ignored. I read that the poster will respond to anybody that is interested in this item by PM only. He's not interested in all the nitwits that come along and even though not interested in the item would try to get him to barter on the item (or tell him how stupid he is to ask that price as some have done in the past). If you are truly interested in purchasing the item contact him personally to ask whatever questions you have. I think that would be the proper place to discuss the purchase, including the bottom line he's willing to accept, not here on a public forum.
As for your personal post you have attempted to show a quote attributed to the OP. You have done so by the use of quotation marks to denote his words. However you are in error as you have added words that were not used by the OP. Nowhere does he use the word ignored, this word was only used by the other poster sr71 and not by the OP. If you are going to quote a person please do it correctly or don't do it at all.
Personally I found no fault in the ad placed by the OP in asking for only PM's to be used. It would likely be the same method I would subscribe to if I put an item up for sale on this forum so that I would be going one on one with a potential customer who is truly interested.

He says he will respond to pm of those interested. Sounds good to me. There are a lot of “price police” here on the hog who take exceptions to prices posted. If not interested, don’t reply. It’s simple. Too often a post gets cluttered with opinions of uninterested people. No offense to his post at all!
