On the 4th I sat in a lawn chair by a wide, 4" deep terra cotta pot I made into a bird bath, with a couple of rocks for birds etc to stand on if they are too small for 4" of water. Mostly it gets bees and other insects with some birds perching to drink. The bees land on the rim or one of the rocks, crawl down to get a drink and then back up to take off.
