Actually I was after bees but this guy kept landing on the wall just outside the 100-400L's minimum focus distance. So finally I gave in and did his/her/its portrait.
7DII, 100-400L mk2 @ 400, 1/250 @ F/11, ISO 200
Center point AF, was on the head but it moved as I mashed the shutter so it is on his rear end, Spot Meter hand held in bright sunlight
You can see by the water marks I used Franzis Sharpen Projects Pro - it is on the 30 day trial because I had to reinstall after rebuilding my computer and the original SN won't work. I e-mailed Franzis with my original order number and asked for a new SN or whatever. No answer yet.
