It’s a decent spot to catch NS and some CSX. If you like CSX then Hamlet, NC might be the hot spot...

Hamlet pretty much is a straight shot down Hwy 74 from me, maybe about an hour or so. Actually spent sometime working in Hamlet about 20 yrs ago.
Hamlet also has the National Railroad Museum. It is so amazing of all the local things around and never really have visited any of these places. Even Spencer NC, with the Transportation Museum, always have wanted to visit but never have.

Are you a railfan, modeler, or just occasional train shooter? I am a modeler and do some railfanning. Live about a mile from the former Southern mainline in Harrisburg, NC.
