Has anyone tried the lenses and accessories produced by a company called Moment? They offer several lenses(even an anamorphic for video) and a unique case that incorporates the mount for the lenses.

For the price they are charging, I doubt many will try them, unless they sell it in a kit rather than by the piece, and drop their pricing by a considerable sum. A full kit would cost as much as an iPhone!

The detailed design of the various smartphones and even for various versions means Moments lenses might only fit one phone version. So look at their compatible spec. The fits usually do not take phone cases into account.

I am on holiday in Scandinavia at present and have gottenreally friendly with a retired professional photographer and his wife who was a photo editor for a USA newspaper , big one. All they are using on this trip is cellphones with additional add on lenses that look just like those. I am seriously thinking of going the same way as they have in future, especially on a trip as they are so much less emcombered as I am.

When my wife and I travel, I like to photograph street art/wall murals. I have a Moment 18mm wide lens and find it very useful to capture murals etc in tight places. I also use the Peak Design Camera strap called the Lease. This allows me to use my phone as well as carry a regular DSLR. https://www.peakdesign.com/products/leash

I have a harness that holds the dslr onto my chest and reasonably safely instead of the camera swinging around as if on a pendulum.

MoBad58,
The wide angle lens from Moment is the only lens of the group that seemed to be well worth the money. It's additional angles of view add a lot to the width or height of your image.
The macro lens has to just about touch the subject and it seemed impractical.
The tele lens did not increase magnification enough to justify it's price.

Having tried all of these lenses, I totally agree with you. I am still out to lunch on the Moment super fisheye lens. I have it but haven't shot with it enough to give a good opinion.

Fstop12,
Thanks. It was very disappointing since I had hopes that, at last, really good add on lenses were here. But from what I have seen lately from Apple, I am sure they will be able to create views similar to what good add on's should be able to do but without the necessity of using an add on.

I would say that you would be happy with the Moment 18mm wide lens.

I did buy the 18mm and got the case for my phone and when I remember to bring it along, it is very helpful.
