This is another in a series of posts using photos from a recent 6+ week trip I took around the Western US & Canada, with a college buddy Chuck & my Australian Shepherd Gem, aka "the Mutt." I'd like to thank all who have looked at the prior posts & commented.
This post picks up where the last one left off ... in the Grand Teton's Nat'l Park for half of the photos & then moves to Yellowstone Nat'l Park. There was so much to see at Yellowstone, that this will be the 1st of 2 posts covering Yellowstone. Given the enjoyment I get from wildlife, Yellowstone was the most exciting park for me of all we visited & I'll finish it in the next post.
The photos from The Grand Tetons are varied ... from wildlife to scenic to 1 night sky. The 1st batch of Yellowstone photos are a mix of wildlife & scenic.
I used a Canon 5d Mk IV & EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM for the Sunset, Buffalo Dust Bath, Mammoth Springs & Lower Falls. I used a Canon 5d IV with Sigma 24mm 1:1.4 DG for the Mormon Barn night shot. I used a Canon 6d with EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM for What are you Lookin' at & the Buffalo with Calf. I used a Canon 7d Mk II with EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM for the Grizzlies. And I used a Canon 7d II with EF 500mm F/4L IS USM for the Adolescent Bald Eagle landing.
I hope you enjoy them.

Grand Tetons Nat'l Park, Female Grizzly with 1 yr old cub & another yearling. Females bring cubs close to the road to avoid the Males who will kill cubs in order to induce the female to come into heat.

Grand Tetons Nat'l Park, Milky Way over TA Moulton "Mormon Barn". 5 shot panoramic. Apologies. I tried 3 times to make this downloadable by clicking "(store original)" & "Add Attachment", but it wouldn't do it.

Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Adolescent Bald Eagle preparing to land right in front of my buddy Chuck. Shot with 500mm lens, so I couldn't get both the Eagle & Chuck in the shot. So I stayed with the most important one. ;)

And thank you for the continued positive comments RichardTaylor. I’ve enjoyed sharing some of the sights we saw & while I know I didn’t capture all the beauty we saw, I do hope to have at least done a modicum of justice to some of it. Thanks for looking & commenting.
Great shots from my favorite place. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry ... iPhone “corrected” spelling of your name dhrobetts. Hate it when that happens!!!
Fine stuff, Frank. For me, the Mammoth Hot Springs in particular.
Thank you Jim ... truth be told, that was a lucky shot I never realized I had. I loved Mammoth Springs ... the colors ... the 2 Elk wandering around ... the views ... but it wasn't until I was looking through my shots the other night in prep for this post, that I realized I'd taken 2 shots as a panoramic of the Springs ... I liked both shots individually ... but when I put these together, I thought I'd gotten lucky. It's surely a beautiful place. Thanks for the comments. Hope you've got the all wet & towel concepts figured out with Retired CPO. ;)
Thank you Retired CPO ... I appreciate it as always ... & hope you're continuing to heal.
And thank you phlash46 ... appreciate you looking & the feedback comment. Best to you.
The first photo is pure magic. The milky way is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for including us in your travels.
