Hutchinson Island is a barrier island stretching a narrow 23 miles between the cities of Fort Pierce to the North and Stuart to the South. It is actually located in Central Florida in the East coast. Toward the East it faces the Atlantic Ocean while toward the West it has the Indian River.

Hutchinson Island has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful beaches in addition to many places to see and local restaurants. It is a very popular vacation spot during our winter months and the weather tends to be very pleasant the whole year due to the ocean breeze that cools our hot summers.

Between April and September the island serves as the home to a turtle migration , I believe there are five species of them who come to lay their eggs in the sand. They are all well protected and local authorities place marks near their nests so that the public will be aware of their presence.

These are images I made there a couple of years ago while visiting. I used my Nikon D610 and two lenses, the 1974, 50mm f1.4 Nikkor S (single coated) and the 70-210 f4-5.6 AF. My tripod is a cheap Dolica aluminum tripod that I fitted with a Linhof ballhead.

I was not aware of the rock formation along the coast near Stuart as shown in the third image, I was guided there in an early morning in April. For that shot I used the Nikon 12-24 f4. Some of the images were enhanced using Topaz Adjust AI.

Sylvia, I am a humble South Floridian who enjoy your photography. I never have been to beautiful England but if I ever do I would like having the honour of sharing some of my photography with you.
Time will tell.
