I watched a bunch of fledgling tree swallows at our local park pond yesterday. Lots of feeding trips back and forth by the adults, and practice flights by the fledglings.
I especially liked this young one, landing on a willow branch, and with a combination of fluttering flight and scrambling, eventually made it to the top.

Wow, does this resemble a Loggerhead Shrike! Had to google it and: Nice shot of a Tree Swallow!
