Took these picture about 3 weeks ago and have been going back to them several times. Wanted to have viewers see what I felt. Tried several different software programs. Ended up with Photoshop using several layers with filters trying to set the mood.

I've never been to a swamp like that but I get the impression they're very atmospheric places. Trying to capture dappled light can be tricky.

The first one is very strong. It captures the light quite well, handles the color as our minds would see it (may or may not have been in the original shot), and has a composition that leads into the shot, very suggestive of the atmosphere you want.

I didn't post this picture till I felt like I got the proper look with my pp. It really look just as you see it. It was a place I have never been to. We didn't see them but snakes and alligators were here too.
