I picked this stem and brought it into the house but it wouldn't bloom! Put it out in the sun and it opened right up.

I feel that the first one is somewhat out of balance - the blossom is to far above the glass and disconnected. Will try another tomorrow.

These are my favorite flowers. They go on for days even though the blossoms only last one day. Hence the name.

I have to agree with you on your first image. I found myself bouncing back and forth between the flower and the glass. But I do like the lighting on the flower. The second shot for me would be a stronger image If you cropped out the glass.
