How good should your walk-around be?

These were taken today at Yankee Stadium. Our seats were all the way down the 1st base line, just before the bleachers. Rather than take anything large, I took my Sony RX100 VI, which fits in the cargo pocket of my shorts. Shot at full 200 mm. The top is ISO 800 so that I could shoot at 1/1000, next is cropped, no editing other than cropping. 3rd image is ISO 200, 1/400, 4th cropped, no editing.
So, good enough? For me, it does the job.
I don't use my iPhone 6 for photography unless it's an "emergency," and I would have no idea how the new cell phones would do in this situation. However, my iPhone 6 is due to be replaced. Input please from anyone with a new cell phone on its capability would be appreciated, especially if you can reply with examples.

I hope you realize that you have 1.1-2X Clear Image Zoom in that camera ( at least I THINK you do - if shooting JPEG). Optimize your iQ and use CIZ to get you to 400mm....with the SAME maximum pixel count.....better than just cropping and throwing pixels away.

I'm not sure I understand the concept of walk-around; didn't you mention that you were seated?
When I walk around shooting, I carry the same body and lens combo that I would use for the same concepts in a stationary placement. The only concession to mobility I allow is that I generally will only take 1 body and lens combo if I plan to be walking more than 10 miles during the shoot (if I'm likely to meet with targets of opportunity, that would generally involve a 100-400mm lens, as that is the most versatile lens in my stock).

What are you asking for? It sounds like you are asking about cell phone camera capability as input for a decision on a replacement phone. Is that correct?

But surely you were not "walking around". When you know where you're going you should choose the right gear. It is difficult to tell whether your gear was suitable for the occasion without your having clicked "store original". But you have said that for you "it does the job". That is all that matters.
Do not forget that all digital photos require some PP, JPG or RAW.

I use the Sony RX99V that has a 24-720 mm Zeiss lens, a pop up viewfinder, and offers manual and RAW shooting. Have never missed a shot yet. And best of all, it fits in my pocket allowing me to be hands free.

Sorry for not elucidating well. My concept of a "walk-around" is a camera I have with me when I am NOT going out to shoot, but have just in case. And my asking about cellphone cameras is based on possible hogs' experiences with cellphone cameras that could be equal to a great little walk-around, so that I could avoid making that ugly bulge in my pocket with a real camera. As far as I can ascertain, none are, but my knowledge is not 2019 current.

Some cellphones can take great pics - in the right circumstances and for the right viewing circumstances, but they have limitations which serious photographers, I think, would not be willing to embrace. Horses for courses!

Nice shots. However, if I know I will be taking shots at a baseball stadium, assuming they allowed a DSLR, I would take a tele- or tele-zoom lens, not generally a "walk-around" lens, unless it can get to 300-400mm+ optically. "Walk-around" means many things to many people and generally refers to street or travel photography - could be a 35mm, 50mm, 24-70mm, 18-55mm, etc., which would all be unsuitable for close shots seated down the 1st base line. The superzooms such as an 18-400mm would be ok at the long end but better would be a 70-300 or 80-400.
