I wasn't sure it was going to happen ... however Spring has finally arrived in full force (accompanied by Black Flies & Ticks in great numbers). I thought I'd share some shots of Spring in my "neighborhood".
The 1st three were taken behind my neighbor's house about half a mile down the road. All the rest (except the final 1) were taken on the hill behind my house where I have a camp. The final shot is of a local covered bridge.
Best,
Frank
Engaging set, Frank! My crew particularly likes shots of Gem.

Well, the next time I'm through UT, I'll have to stop & introduce her. It's funny ... I avoided retiring & moving to the hills of VT because I was worried about being bored up here. It's a long way from nowhere. But I retired on a Friday & picked up the Mutt on Monday night at the airport in Burlington ... & life has not been the same since. It's been a constant battle trying to convince her she doesn't run this operation. ;)
Gotta love having 'em around. Thanks for the comment ... I do appreciate it.

I like the covered bridge most.

Now that was funny!!!! I have to admit, I live fairly high up & I got frustrated with how Winter just hung on this year ... so I took off as the 1st mud-season started in earnest (April 1) & traveled around the US & Canada for 6+ weeks ... getting home near the end of what turned out to be the final mud season. So I was being an optimist by calling it Spring. ;) Thanks for the comment & for the chuckle.
Delightful series. Love wildflowers and the spring greens. Gem looks like a really great companion!

Yes, the Mutt is a wonderful companion ... although she is a herding dog, so she can be a bit stubborn & try to do things her way. But she surely has been 1 of the primary keys in a very enjoyable retirement. And thanks for the comments on the flowers. I love VT in the Spring (after Mud Season). Makes it worth putting up with the Black Flies. Thanks for stopping by & commenting.

Beautiful shots. For the ticks, get chickens or guineas. Both will clean them out. And the chickens will give you eggs and meat, and the guineas will guard your homestead!

Thank you nikonbug ... the only thing lost with those suggestions, would be peace & quiet ... I grew up on a farm with guineas ... you were right ... they are great "watch fowl" but they are surely noisy. Appreciate the visit & comment.
Nice series Frank, and I really like the covered bridge!

Sometimes, it's downright cold & snowy ... but I'm thinking your "cool" was intended to mean something else. ;)
But yes, I do love it here. Thanks for taking the time to look & to comment. Best to you.
