NGC 5457 {m101} during the boil.

I had one night with a partly clouded forecast and a cold front of low pressure was sitting right on top of me . I ran Luminance only on 5-30-19 because I wanted to get all the detail that I could gather before I was hit with the boil. I was dealing with the bright moon and humidity out the roof gathering the rgb between the clouds with a bright a-- moon {didn't even need my headlight}. I'm hoping that I can catch another couple nights before it sinks in the Big ole Oaktree. It's a work in progress , slim pickins so far this month. I just can't catch a break before Jupiter is in position to start capturing.

Thank you Stan , I'm trying to collect enough on this target before it's gone , I collected the Lum 23subs@60s guided on May 30th shooting through the clouds. Then collected the rgb on the 15th of June in the boiling {heat and humidity}, I need to catch a break to be able to make a better image. It's a work in progress Stan and I haven't used any calibrations .

Great objectives you have.I am impressed.
I am just getting started in Astrophotography and looking forward to the MilkyWay on the 28th. Last time I tried, the clouds rolled in.

Geez humidity already, you can’t catch a break. I’m very familiar with living in the humidity, it not familiar with AP. I assume it’s kinda like shooting thru a glass of water.

If you have humidity at the beginning of June, it sounds like you are in for a hot summer.

Brian , We're in "hurricane season" June 1 and my skies are pretty clouded and heat storms dominate most of the nights. It's like shooting through a window with condensation on it . Thanks to the clouds I've only been able to collect 20 some out of 50 subs that are useable and the guider is settling every couple of frames . Running a sequence of 50min. takes all night when I do get to do some collecting. We've already had a drought for 3 weeks before hurricane season and already have a surplus. We're into the BOIL !

Pixelstan , I'm still getting my feet wet and still building my Po'man rig , you have to do whatever it takes to gather what you can , the weather is so unpredictable here in the South. They get it right 35% of the time , which leaves me sitting waiting to guide on a star in the boil before I can retreat to my cumfy chair inside and monitor.
