On the Potash Road, along the Colorado River. At the base of Poison Spider Mesa.

Low-laying river bottoms are under water; the road, not quite. Cataract Canyon is flowing at 65,600 cfs. Not a record, but that's VERY big water.

3 very nice pictures - gives a feeling for the place. The geometry of the first shot is particularly interesting.

Nice set. I really like the sunspots in the third photo. They seem to highlight the intensity of the sun as it beats down on the rocks.

Once again, you capture the sights and feel of your wonderful stomping grounds, Jim!

Nice set Jim. I like the first one, but the footprints are a distraction. I like the second shot of the sheer rock face. It is amazing to me that a tree can survive under those conditions.

Thanks, for your comments and thumbs and such, folks, and thanks for taking a look.

And Spidey: I can't disagree with regard to the footprints. I considered cloning them out, and moreso, considered cloning out the tire tracks in the tree/cliff face shot, but ultimately decided not to. Reality -- warts and all-- isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, it just is.
