A friend had been suggesting that I visit his job site, so that we would go have a look at this building, which is near by, and early last month I finally made the trip. I photographed the outside, and discovered I was able to get inside before I left. So here are a few. Several establishing shots, followed by more abstract views, several with color and the B/W conversions that are my ultimate intension. Happy to hear your thoughts.

It is just about the most unattractive thing I've seen in ages!

I like your images, and the approach you used of capturing structural details. I would have also liked to see an "establishing" shot or two of the entire building from different angles - that would provide a context for the rest. Didn't know about the structure - Thanks!

Great pics, but couldn't you have gotten back far enough where we could see what the shape of the building looks like or the whole building. All we can see parts and pieces.

Google "Bard College" to see the whole "thing." I still maintain it's an ugly piece of work.

It looks like a 7th grade shop class on drugs

Yes, that's an amazing structure - just across the river from me.

I suggest you look at some other folks pictures for those kinds of pictures. I agree with Phil, in that its an ugly building. I took very few from afar, as I was primarily interested in isolated compositions.

First thing I did after seeing your work was pull the building up on the net.

I would like to see the blueprints for this complex design.

I wouldn't go that far, even though it is probably my least favorite of his projects, and its most unappealing angle is front and center. I was underwhelmed until I got inside. Thats when I really got into it.

I have been in construction for a long time, so with thoughts of just building such a thing, its impressive. Having studied architecture at several universities, its natural to consider it from that standpoint also.

Great pics. Love the building. Good example of Gehry's work.

I wondered what other atrocities Gehry might have foisted upon us, so I Googled. I'm sure it's thought we would view his buildings with awe, admiration, and an appreciation for his artistry. THINK AGAIN!
