Use caution when going through airport security. I recently passed through JFK in New York. I put my backpack camera bag in a tub and sent it through the scanner. When I got to the other side it was still in the tub, but I didn't notice an agent had unzipped it to look inside, and only zipped it half way back up. When I pulled it out of the tub and swung it up on my back everything went flying. Two bodies, two lenses, batteries, filters etc. on the floor. The mount on my go to lens was broken, rest seem to be OK. Fortunately I'm insured. P.S. Don't expect TSA to accept any responsibility.
It would seem to me that people would check their bags/luggage before hoisting it over a should. At least since TSA is inspecting things. Your misfortune provides a learning experience for those who are traveling.

TSA is a joke. I went through once and what appeared to be a 16 year old girl had more medals and badges than Gen. Schwarzkopf.
