I visited the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge recently. It's famous for attracting lots of birds. However, when I visited most of them were elsewhere. The songbirds were around but mostly out of sight. So I put on my trust 100 mm macro lens and shot closeups of some of the native plants. I later swapped out for my 100-400 mm when a flycatcher made an appearance.
