I've used 12 mpx pocket cameras on vacations where it rained every day and that was to be expected. I bought one that would fit in a fanny pack with my cash and hotel key. The vacation went very well and the outside shots looked great. Moving inside with it's tiny flash, well simply don't use the flash if at all possible. For our camera we set it to auto so I could hand it off to the kids and there would be no issues. All shots taken were of jpeg so the card wouldn't fill up. I off loaded all shots every day to my laptop and labeled the folder as to where we went.

Today all my compact cameras have been given away as I really want more - quality, lens choice, lens sharpness, and never use total auto features. I want to control the shot so I take full size cameras albeit light ones (D7500) over my heavy Pro camera (D810). The weight savings is significant as the Pro camera is heavy and so are every lens it uses. My D7500 with the 35mm f1.8 G lens is very light and has many features I love (like previewing my focus point at 1:1 by hitting one button!), live histograms you view before taking the shot and in live view I can touch the screen to change focus quickly. I cannot go back to the simple cameras anymore but they do have issue as for how my family was using them. I remember my wife returning from a long vacation with the kids, using her compact Nikon camera that doesn't see through the lens, and had finger print smears on the lens from DAY ONE of the trip ... and didn't know it after taking nearly 1.6 Gb of data! She handed the the sim card to edit the shots and the bright highlights had ghosting all around them. This could happen to you with these little cameras so beware. Check the lens in that no one has touched it. The only good thing out of it was ... there were far less pictures to edit. LOL

Anyone have any suggestions for a pocket sized camera that also takes RAW?? Looking for something small that I can carry in a pocket.
Thanks

Something in the Sony RX100 series.

Canon G7X Mark II is a good choice.

Lumix GM5. Interchangeable lens 16MP M4/3 w viewfinder.

Unfortunately replaced by GX850 which lacks viewfinder. So you’d have to find used.

PS: the so called 1” sensor isn’t. About 1/2 the size of M4/3.

Canon G7 Mark II. I agree that Raw may be unnecessary with the amazing quality jpegs produced.
It is with me all the time.

A Motorola Z4 cell phone with Moto Mod by Hasselblad will do it.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS60 will shoot raw. Need a sort of large pocket. I have mine in a case for a Go-Pro that hangs on my shoulder. (It also protects it in my purse.)

True it is larger than the S95, S100, S110 & S 120 that preceded the G7. I doesn’t actually go in the pocket. Did you ever have an S95 open in your pocket? It is a compromise for a great quality image with 24mm wide angle, and a 1” sensor that produces great crops without getting into digital zoom.
And it is always at the ready in my console for an over the shoulder catch!

When researching I was put off by lack of viewfinder and only 100mm on the tele end. Being a Canon user, my 1" pocketable wound up not a Canon but a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100. I wish Canon had more choices with a viewfinder.

I currently have the Sony RX100M5. In the past I have owned the M2, M3 and M4.

I love this class of camera! It is quality digital information gathering, for fast acquisition, and very different from the Z6 on a tripod type of photography. Every day carry!

On the bright side, you still have a good memory card and a good battery. :)
