Thanks

The Nikon 1 Series mirror-less cameras, although discontinued, are still available as Used in various places. I have the V3. their advantage is that one can attach existing Nikkor lenses with the F1 adapter.

WOW! What a shame. Isn't there someone out there who can put it back together with new parts or maybe (assuming it is no longer marketed) eBay can sell you a new one especially if you have accessories specific to it.

Good Luck

I carried a Canon GX5 to France two years ago. Decent zoom and takes Raw. Got some good pics. This is an older model, I think latest model may be the GX9.

Cargo pockets (especially large ones) sure can open up the selection options for "pocket cameras". Levi's pockets; not so much.

Any of the Ricoh GR models, APS-C sensor, in-camera RAW processing, many shooting options.

FWIW I have a Lumix DMC-ZS100 (TZ100 outside the US). I rejected the RX100 due to price. It took research to find the RX100 does have a pop-up viewfinder. Both have a 1" sensor, a good zoom range, are pocketable, and can make RAW files, all of which I wanted (though RAW wasn't a deal breaker for me).

I'm quite happy with the Lumix when used where it shines. In a dark honky-tonk, however, you do have to live with the less than optimum low light sensitivity, 'though it is much better than my (admitted low end) smart phone camera. I had a similar limitation (though less severe) with an older DSLR before my 80D.

I realy like my Panasonic LX-2, despite its lack of VF. If I had to replace it, I would look for womething else with a 16x9 sensor. It's not 16x9 carved out of a sensor of another size, that's the native size!

It's as close as I can get to a digital xPan.
