Hi all- wanting to get an external power source for my Celestron 130SLT scope. I have read that their 7AH PowerBank often dies out quickly, stops accepting a new charge, other problems. Anyone use a car jumper battery unit? Any good? Which ones? I know I may need a 2.1 to 2.5mm plug adapter--thank you!
I use a small garden tractor battery with a clip on cigarette lighter receptacle, then just plug in your 12v cord from the telescope mount. It will last for a few nights of use, I've never run it down. You can find them at Walmart or Tractor Supply or auto parts stores. Mine is approximately 6"×4"×5"
