Hi folks, I'm new to the forum but not to photography. I started in high school in the early '50s then went to the Navy Photo School in '56 so to say I've been around awhile is an understatement. Put a camera in my hand and I'm young again. I shifted to motion pictures in the '60s when I was working under a contract with NASA doing films of the early days and then through Project Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. Left that, moved to North Carolina and started my own film company in the '70s. I'm still doing films although we shoot on digital these days. Mostly I do documentaries now with a non profit I have with a friend. Shoot stills all the time as well. Sold all the film gear and shoot stills on a Nikon D7200. Thinking about going mirrorless though. My name is Jere Snyder and my user name is because I am also a street rodder and my car is a 1940 Mercury convertible.
Welcome to the forums.
Love your car.
Welcome to UHH Jere. Look forward to seeing some of your images.
Thanks Richard. I like Sydney. Was there a few years ago doing a film on Aboriginal Rock art in the Kimberley. We spent a few days on Sydney before going into the bush.
Welcome. We old farts rock.

Anytime you are this way we'll go for the ride. Never shot with a bolex. The only windup camera I had to use was the Eymo. I also shot on a big Mitchell in the Navy but after I got out it was Arri with a battery belt.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Welcome Mr. Snyder. And you will fir right in here.....no problem !!!!!
Love that Mercury toooo.....oh yea!
Welcome. Great car. My dad had a post-war Merc sedan and what I remember most about it is that it had a floor mounted button to change radio stations (AM of course).
Welcome to the Forum, Jere, very good post, great looking car, Enjoy.
