Excellent condition. Includes lens hood and tripod mount. Plus 95 mm UV filter which has always been on to protect the lens. Original box and an aftermarket lens carrying case (JJC) included. $575.00 includes shipping in continental US. PayPal preferred.

This has been a great lens for me. Only selling it because I got a deal I couldn't refuse on a Canon L lens. DM me with questions.

The G1, I had one and loved it. Now have a G2.
You know that "protective" filter may have hurt your IQ. I never use one I rely on the hood.
I had the Canon 100-400L mk1 and it did not play well with filters at all.

Thanks Robertjeri. I've heard pros and cons on protective filters. Tried the lens with and without and didn't see any discernible difference so I just left it on. Part of me is hoping nobody will bite on my listing. I've gotten some great photos (for me) with this lens.

I could take a while and research this question, but I'm sure either you or robertjerl could answer this question for me easily: Is this particular Tamron TAP friendly? Bet so. Though I've been trying to move to Canon Ls myself, I've had good experience with Tamron lenses. I'd like to see if this lens could be updated to play well with the new EOS R camera with its Controlling Adapter. I just sold my high-shutter-count 5D Mark III and bought the R, and your lens just might be a dandy mate. (Would have been NO doubt on the 5D!)

The G2 works with the TAP. Mine came with one. I have not had to use it.

Thanks for the fast answer. I was trying to research that info, but not finding anything yet. From our previous discussions about Tamrons, I was confident you'd have the answer, Robert. And already, I'm having a little seller's regret.

Frankly, I cannot believe this Tamron has not already sold. Such a great lens for the right camera! It wouldn't be a bad combo with my T6s, just a little more capability than it needs for my intended uses of it. But, heck, not a LOT more $ than the Canon EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 II IS USM I've been thinking of for it - if bought brand new. But way too heavy for our upcoming trip to Disneyworld with the grandkids (now 15 and 20...last hurrah, probably). Guess I could settle for one of the point-n-shoots on that trip instead. Oh my. But I promised my wife I'd spend all my earnings from the 5D sale on bringing down the balance on the R. Hmmm

Do either of you ever have these debates with yourself? Probably, but without sharing...……….
