It has been a long time since we have had one of these, where viewers are asked to find the hidden critter. Please read the rule below.
Can you find the walking stick that is hidden in this scene? Late last summer I found a big one, and placed her in this brambly area and took a picture. Can you find her? I promise she is in there, in plain sight. But as you know these things are good at hiding! You will need to click to download, and probably need to click again on the picture to enlarge it some more.
THE RULE: Please do not reveal the location to others if you find her. Let others have a try. You can rejoice, but don't reveal.
I will show the location in a couple days. Good luck!
Good one! (Found her then zoomed back out and lost her.)

A sticky problem.
I would find one of these every once in awhile. Not uncommon, but the best camo in the insect world.
In the late 90's I was working on a house overlooking the Potomac River in Virginia. A long wooded piece of property with oaks and typical Eastern trees. This was a year when the population of these exploded. They were everywhere. The wind had them falling on people with the predicted results. People freaked. On calm days the pattern of eggs dropping was like rain. There were literally hundreds to be had. The next summer, gone again. But there was an emergence of cicadas. This time the noise was nearly deafening.
A friend's dog loved them and actually gained almost ten pounds eating them.
Nature is never dull.

i found it,what a tangled mess, did you find it there or somewhere else

Not yet, the brain and eyes aren't cooperating.
True story.
When I hung her on the branch that she is on, I turned, took maybe four steps back, then turned around to take a picture and... ???? Where was she? I could not for the life of me see her. I searched. I got the feeling that she had dropped to the ground. I searched the ground...
After several minutes I suddenly saw her again. Exactly where I put her.

I found this walking stick sitting on a building in a park - not likely to have seen it otherwise. I kept it for a few days to show around and take pictures. Here I was returning it to the area near where I found it. After these pictures I put it in an oak tree, since it was readily eating oak leaves while in captivity.
Mark, I found it only because it's abdomen was fatter than the rest. For a guy who can't find his coffee cup most of the time, I enjoyed the search.
