Well, not really but this guy was my buddy all week in Port Vincent. We got home yesterday after a lovely week.
Every time he saw me he'd fly up to me and if I went for a walk along the beach he'd walk along with me and then the return journey. Even up the path with me to our cabin. I weakened eventually and bought him some Whiting fillets. I think he's a youngster as he still had black feathers on his head and no yellow rings around his eyes. It was fun and if I was on the beach shooting birds, I'd suddnely hear a great roaring of wings as he went into reverse thrust to land right alongside of me..the first time this happened it gave me a bit of a scare as it was the last thing I was expecting.
Who could refuse those sad pitiful eyes anyway...I'm a softy when it comes to nature, especially birds.

Excellent shots, Ron. I'm surprised at the behavior of the youngster--I've never seen one as tame as that.

Thanks Earl, yes, we've been there before and there's always been lots of pellies but never anything like this...could you refuse a cute face like this with those big sad eyes...
What a sweet love story, Ron!
What a neat set, Ron. You do know that now that you are gone he is making a new best friend, right?

Bugger, I thought he'd wait for me...
Thanks Ken...
Great to have friends wherever you go. Especially if you have that animal magnetism. Good to see you in the pics too.

Thanks Janos, I don't know why but I've always had a "thing" with birds and animals...I've even had a few insects follow me around...
