I was at about 8600 ft on the slope of Mt Whitney for this sequence. TO the far right is the Owens Lake bed, in the middle the Alabama Hills, and to the left is Independence, California.

Shot with Nikon D850, Nikkor 28-300 lens. Images stitched in Lightroom.

OMG! Nice. Been to Lone Pine / Alabama Hills before. Next time we should drive up the portal road if that is what one can see from up there!

That's a great shot of the Owens Valley - an altogether beautiful area. I fished opening day at Crowley 17 years in a row, starting around 1954, camped at Lake Mary many, many summers and loved to ski at Mammoth!!!

Again, one of my all time favorite areas - from Yosemite, Tioga Pass, June Lake and all the way down to Lake Crowley! (I lived in Burbank at that time.)

rgrenaderphoto, very nice work to present a lovely area. Also a good testament to the capabilities of the 28~300 lens on a D850.
