3 - 35mm cameras - FREE - Just Pay Shipping

We in Kansas had many storms over the past week and our house was in one of the storms.
Our sump pump could not keep up with the water coming the sump and consequently, we had 2+ inches of water. Thank goodness I had most of the items on skids, but the carpeting, etc, was destroyed.
From this I learned a valuable message...got too much "stuff"! Could not move a steel shelf because it was too heavy! Thus:

I have three 35mm cameras that are yours for the asking, just pay for the shipping.

No. 1 - Minolta 35mm, QTsi Maxxum, Lens 35-80 / 4-5.6 AF
Minolta flash, not pictured??? and Minolta Light Meter and the Brown zippered bag-rough, but leather.
7 "cans" of 35mm 400asa print film. Do not know how old the film is.

No 2 - Konica TC Autoreflex, Focal M-200 Flash
Sigma zcom-master lens: 1: 2.8 ~ F=35~70mm multi coated with hood
Sigma 70~210mm Zoom: 1: 4.5 210mm Multi Coated with Hood.Green/Brown 3-zippered bag, good condition.
Ebay has these lenses for about $20 for the 35-70mm lens and from $20 to $69 for the 70~210 lens.

No. 3 - Minolta, 35mm No Lens. Maxxum 2800 AF with camera case and flash
Owners manual and some literature.

I do not know if any camera works as I have not had the time to try them out.
I bought one of the cameras ($5) the other two were in a all-for-one box price at Garage Sale!
They do need to be cleaned, I have had them in their bags or box, not exposed to the dirt/dust and NOT in the water.

Let me know (Pvt. Message) if you want all or a specific one or two.

Thanks

Dave

That last camera is the Minolta Maxxum 7000. It was a pioneering camera and a collector's item. It was the first camera to have autofocus built into the camera body. The first ones that came out had that copyright infringement. Exxon took Minolta to court and sued over that. It cost Minolta millions. Minolta used two X's in Maxxum that resembled Exxon's logo.

I have the next one, the 7000i. It's still like new.

This is what Minolta was sued over. Notice how the X's are the same as Exxon's. I was talking to a camera store owner in Staunton, VA who had gotten a shipment of those. He kept some of them as collector's items.

Hello, I would like to know if you would part with the light meter? I am interested in that and would pay the shipping on it if you are willing to part with it from the other thing you have your post. Thank You John

ftino51,

I have two persons asking about the three cameras currently.
Sent them the shipping charges, waiting on reply.
But, I do have one of the two members in Priority Mode as he contacted me first.

If anything fails, I will let you know.

Thanks
Dave

CO. No, I did not know that!
Millions, wow! One would think that a good "buffing" would suffice for an error???
Guess not though.

Thanks for the Info.

My brief fling with Minolta. I had the 7000i and 8000i. I loved them both. Had the 80-200 f/2.8 APO zoom, great for doing sports for yearbook photos. I was always hoping they would do digital based on these bodies...sadly, it was not to be.

My Canon A1 and F1 were my favorite film cameras, but the Minolta ran a VERY close second.

I commiserate with your flood damage, but when the excessive rain overwhelmed my basement sump pump, it gave me two feet of water. Fortunately, the sump pump caught up by the next day and drained it, leaving all my tools, dehumidifier and ventilating fan nearly all inoperable. No, I live on high ground and didn't think I needed flood insurance.

Hello, Bill here. There is a Dave Phares here at UHH. He is looking for odd gear for a non-profit profit class on photography.
He may appreciate your offer.

Hi Bill, thanks for the message about Dave Phares.
Yes, he did take the Canon 35mm camera and the flash unit.
I did offer the other 3-cameras and lenses to him but he said the Instructor was trying to keep the cameras specific to the class and lenses.

Dave, Cameras way aside. The important thing is are you and your wife and family alright? I can’t imagine going through that kind of hell. I just feel awful about the situation you in. I have no idea what it would be like. The cameras don’t matter, let me know just how you are doing and I’m praying for you. Rob

Dave: Do you still have Konica TC Autoreflex with lenses? If you still have it I will take it. Send PM with shipping cost and your mail address.
