Made into a framed print this is the kind of image my mother just loved to buy and decorate her walls with. Between the soft look and all the pastels it is a dreamy image that your imagination can play with.

The softer flower helps.

A cleaner selection for sure. Did you intend for that transparent rectangle to show behind the flower? I can't see it in your other edit. One thing I did prefer with the other is the wind-blown look

Thanks for sharing your progress!

Note to respondents: for clarification, please note that the OP used a stock photo from the internet as background. That particular image is in wide use, and one can understand why. It's charming!

No Linda - that is a mistake oops!! - never noticed it till you pointed it out. It arose from me adopting your suggestion to put a darker image behind to make it easier to erase the background - I obviously did not understand your advice.
Still - what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger lol!

Maybe that was mentioned in the video? I should have watched it to see what they recommended. If you want to post the original flower photo here, I can try following the video to see where the mis-understanding happened.

As Linda says a better cut out but a shame about the rectangle behind. Just needs blending in before you flatten the image...

Thanks for posting the original flower pic. I have been unable to find any reference to "putting a darker image behind," either in your last PP Forum topic or on the video. In the meantime, I went through the video once and tried Guyserman's tip (linked in previous topic) and can't get anything to work. At this point I keep doing the same thing over and over... expecting different results

So I will reboot my computer and go back to bed, and try again another day. If you can backtrack your steps to where the rectangle was introduced, let me know. Onward!
