This was a sort of "grab shot" during a pose change with the lighting still not changed. It works for ME but what about you guys?

I think the pose and the lighting, including the non-existent dark background, are what make this a good photo.

Vertigo, I would never think that this image was a grab shot, because it is OUTSTANDING in every aspect of creating a portrait for the model. My sense she liked it also.

This image is really fantastic just the way it is. I like the pose and the lighting, especially how the light/shadow border crosses the breasts and nipples.

If it were giving this to the model for her portfolio, I would soften the skin under the arm and possibly darken out any detail on the right-hand side of the image that gives a reference to the back edge of the body. This would have a slimming effect. I might even crop a bit more of the right edge of the image out.

Excellent work.

I would say you need to do more grab shots if this is a representation!

Beautiful photo; pose, exposure, setting. For me, her expression makes it gallery worthy. Thanks for sharing it.

.... and a close face portrait crop [including right arm] is a beautiful photo within the photo. The skin texture is well defined and the lighting accents her profile.

Sorry Vertigo but lighting, texture, pose don't work at all. The lighting is rather unflattering resulting in extremely harsh shadows and skin tones. The leading arm presents as a huge distraction. The pose is flat and empty and speaks little of model/photographer interaction and intent - which is vital. Cropping could certainly be improved. I'm interested as to your comment re screen grab - I assume this is the best of the endeavours? I would really like to hear what appeals to you about this image or in what way you feel it might be improved. Also... I think it is great that you have put this image forward for comment/critique as we can all always learn and improve. Look forward to more

Albeit the amature in portraiture that I am I don't see anything that could have been done better
