Opposite of "Gentle Curve," same principle

Nikongal's "Gentle Curve" reminded me of the principle of using contrast to strengthen an effect. So, I went searching through my photos, and found an opposite example of the same principle. Here, the bright sky contributes to the dark.
By the way, there was some lens flare, and after using the clone tool on two, tried the Photoshop Red Eye Tool in the other, with great success. I had to use it several times, in different background areas of the flare.
