The edits are in: Voting starts now and will continue until Sunday Night at 9 pm Eastern
After some discussion, it has been decided to go back to a system where my vote will be the vote that breaks a tie. Having multiple winners has turned out not to be one of my best ideas. So we will be going back to a single winner. In the event of a tie on Sunday night at 9:00 pm Eastern, I will decided the winner with my vote. (In the event that I am delayed in making the tally on Sunday night, votes cast after 9pm Eastern Time will not be counted. )
So here are the rules we will be operating under.
1. You may download the photo and edit it any way you wish.
2. You may enter a maximum of two edits per image. (It is suggested that you only enter one; but many feel this limits creativity. ) Please limit your submission to a maximum of two images if you feel that one just is not enough.
3. On Thursday at 9pm no more images will be accepted. In the event of a delay on my part, no images submitted after 9 pm will be accepted .
4. From Thursday 9 pm to Sunday 9pm Eastern, you will be able to vote. You can only vote for one image. You can vote for the original if you think it is better than any of the edits.
5. I will not vote unless there is a tie. In that event, I will vote to break the tie. I will also post my reasons for making that decision.
This is essentially how the challenge started some years ago. Members have impressed upon me that this format is one that they enjoyed and would like to return to. Since this challenge is member driven, I am trying to be as open to member suggestions as possible. You can always pm me if you have any suggestions to improve the challenge. As always you efforts and your input is very much appreciated. Have fun with the voting.

Hard to choose between 9 and 24, but ended up with 9.
Could there be two awards? One for translating the realism and another for creativity? Since I'm more of a realist, I guess I'll vote that direction.

#24 I find creative AND well done
I’m going to try something different this time. Rather than just voting, I’m going to give the OP my detailed thoughts why I voted the way I did because she worked on it already and was curious what others would do with it. I would also love to see the OP’s final edit.
In the original image, I struggled to see the stated subject, i.e. the mountains, as the center focal point. Some of the edits focused on cleaning up and/or cropping the original image. Of those I think #2 was the best edit. However, they all seemed to pull focus away from the mountains to either the foreground or the sky.
Most of the other edits either composited something into the image or added artistic effects to bring more visual interest to the image. Of those, I thought that there were 2 images that brought focus and interest to the subject, the mountains. No 9 and No 18.
Image 9 centered around the mountains, but my eyes immediately went to the moon/sky, probably because it was the brightest part of the image, Then I moved to the colorful foreground, enjoying the mountainside flowers. And finally, I got to the mountains. With the artistic effect, one’s not sure whether this was a photo or a painting. But still its an excellent image.
Image 18, IMO, is the standout image. For me, it immediately brought my visual interest directly to the mountains. It didn’t add to or remove from the image, but by its use of a vignette and removing all color, my eye’s weren't confused as to where to look. By darkening the foreground, it no longer competes with the mountains for attention. Detail is still there but you have to look for it. Muting the sky reduced its competition for attention, but enough detail was left to complement the subject. You know there’s clouds about the mountain tops. Layering the details in the mountains provided a nice sense of depth that was muted in the original. And the sepia tone was a nice final touch for an outstanding image.
Just my thoughts.
