Upon a recent visit to Brushy Mountain State Prison in Petros,Tennessee, I took several textures images of the cracked walls and paint. The images were taken with with my IPhone8+. If you are interested in having
them here is a link to my Dropbox so that you can download them. I look forward to seeing how you use
them. Remember, you don't always have to use the color in texture images, you can convert first to Black n
White and then overlay and blend into your background layer. Also, don't forget to try using the Blend IF
feature in Photoshop. Here, you can drop out the BLACKS or WHITE portions of the image. This works really well sometimes and the results are surprising. As a favor, if you use them here in the forum would you please give me a shout out so that I can see your final results. Here is an example of the images. There are 20 of them. Thanks and enjoy.

These are great textures. Happy to add them to my collection. One of the resources I use is:

https://www.deviantart.com/sirius-sdz/art/Texture-Pack-37-456289412

All of the resources on this site are free and most of them do not have any restrictions on use but please check before you download. The texture below is from that site and created by one of my favorite contributors Sirius-sdz.

I used Fstop12's Img_9926 in overlay blend mode and masked the effect from the blossom.

1. Final
2 Without the layer of Nik Color Efex detail extractor and darken edges/lighten center filters.
3. What I started with.

Thanks so much. I'm sure I will put these to good use

I layered your texture over a photo of Mt Rushmore using a hard light blend and nothing else. I was looking for a grungy effect to show the monument effected by pollution and all that other stuff. I wasn't sure what to expect but this is actually better than what I had in mind. Thanks for sharing your textures. This one goes on my website.

The strong color and sharp lines in the rose can handle the cracks in the texture. Nice selection for the compsite Linda. Bev

Thanks Bev. I got the idea to pair a flower with a strong texture from Connie's topic: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-593321-1.html

I did see Connie's images and really enjoyed the eggplant. Thanks for referring me back to her. Bev

The walls were more interesting than the cells.

I always photograph images with a lot of texture or colors. They go into my texture files for hopefully future use. Thanks

I've been doing this for years! I also do Skies and Clouds for sky/cloud replacements in my composites.
