That is the level of work I would someday like to achieve. I must ask, what equipment you are using? I was reading, that for baseball you want to have at least 300mm with an f2.8. How true would you say this is? Do you feel that f5.6 is too slow? I also read that you can get more reach with a teleconverter, but doesn't that take away a stop of light or two? Basically, I am looking for the least expensive way to get the same closeness and clarity you have here.

I am sorry I didn’t see your post way back in May. I used my new 500 mm f/4 lens. I have gotten good shots with my 100-400 mm lens. F5.6 is not too slow if you have a sunny day. I have never tried night games so 5.6 might be a little slow for that.
