Turning 40 - nudity

My wife turned 40 earlier this year. As a way to celebrate her, we marked the event with her posing nude for several images. At her request I cropped both shots for posting here. We had a lot of fun with this, maybe in the future I can share a couple a few more.

They look a bit over processed to me. It is not natural to NOT see a navel in the first image; and in the second there is a blob of some sort that interferes with the line of her abdomen at the bottom of the image, and it also interacts strangely with the shadow of her right breast.

But keep working at it. Having a willing model is a big step in the right direction.

You’re right, I didn’t notice it until you mentioned it. Something didn’t look right but I didn’t catch it probably due to the way it was processed. Thanks for pointing that out

She hit the genetic lottery.

When I was 28 and experienced a woman 40 I was amazed. When I was 50 I realized that 40 was a magic time for women both physically and their personality. Your lady here is a fine example. I especially like the sharp heavy contrast of her second photo... the nipples are ripe.

Beautiful set. I could see #2 hanging in a gallery. Thanks for sharing them.

I really like them. My only suggestion would be not to hide what some might call physical imperfections. Natural can be beautiful—perfection often looks fake.

Nice photos--forty is fabulous.

(I think I can remember that far back. )

These are great. You should try to shoot a few times a year at the very least.

I especially like #2. Tell your wife she's very desirable...at 40 or otherwise.

My $.02: I like the the second one but would like it more if it included her mouth and not just her chin. Cropping up a bit from the bottom would remove that white patch on her abdomen and give more curve below her breast. Clone out that hole? in the backdrop next to her (camera) right breast.

Lucky you! Thanks.

Your wife is lovely, and age enhances a woman more often than not IMO. I'm not fond of the filtering you used to process these two shots, and would like to see the raw images (as well as the rest of the set should she agree to it); though I will say that the filtering likely does enhance the drama of the background in gthe first shot a bit.

As for "corrective" input, I think most have already pointed out those areas well enough. :-)
