Taken a couple or so years ago in Colorado. His/her nose seems to have taken a hit at some time in the past. These guys will come right into the cabin if you leave something unlocked or open. When I was building the cabin I'd gone down to the RV to eat lunch. Coming back, I was working on the main floor when I heard something in the loft. I thought the wind had blown a 2x4 over. Nope, it was a bear who had rummaged through my pack and found a candy bar. He was happy as a lark laying on the back deck munching down. He didn't use the stairs to come back down, as I scared him and he baled over the side.

This one was25-30 feet away. The photo is cropped as well as shot with telephoto.
