Blurryeyed Loc: NC Mountains.

The Halifax river here is home to a variety of birds, you can always find birds by the boat ramps. I am currently working on getting my tow car and small boat serviceable again so I can get out to the islands where the birds roost and where I can find a greater variety of birds.

#2 really makes me angry, I don't believe that a fisherman set that hook into the Pelican by accident.

Thanks, I hope you are right, but that hook has been set deep into that bird, I did not know it was a fishing jig until I got home and looked on the computer. The Snowy is a beautiful bird, of these images I think that I am more partial to the Little Blue. Cattle Egrets are also very beautiful, don't have any in this thread but if you don't know them they are similar to the snowy but have orangish brownish feathers on their breasts and the top of their heads. They just don't hang out by the river.

Yes, I'm familiar with Cattle Egrets. Beautiful little birds, especially in breeding plumage.
