Since "jaysnave" pointed out that few people are posting here, I'm doing my part with a few images shot at family weddings over the years. Some with earlier film cameras and more recently with DSLRs. I decided to focus on flower girl portraits for a change. Hope you like them.

Thanks DebAnn. These images look great. I do find myself drawn to flower girls especially those interactions with the bride & others. Sometimes they are shy and you have to play a game of peek a boo or something to bring them out. I will look for some of my favorites.

Yes they do play hard to get sometimes and it's often hard to get them to smile. But I actually like the serious looks. I'd love to see some of your favorites as well.

Here are a few and I will keep looking. I am pretty busy with headshot mania right now.

Thanks for sharing your lovely shots. The little ones always add fun to weddings.

Jay and DebAnn, those are just adorable. I agree, not much cuter than a flower girl. (or 2)
They can steal the show.

Very nice work, thanks for sharing. I'm still editing some newborn pics, but if I get finished, I will see if I can locate some of my favorite ones, and share as well.

I like this topic, it's completely different... keeps us on our toes.

Thanks BK. Look forward to seeing your baby shots.

Actually, I meant flower girl and ring bearer shots.

Here's one that I'm struggling with from the Post Processing section. It's supposed to look painterly, but it seems nobody over there is really offering suggestions, and a few calling it "creepy"

Hey DebAnn! Just testing to see if anyone still checks in the wedding section. Yeah, she was my model for quite some time as the bride was in bed sick

Wow, I had the opposite experience from the normal "adorable" flower girls this weekend.

They had 2, and no ring bearers. One was about a year and a half, and was throwing tantrums. The other was old enough to be a bridesmaid, and she was throwing tantrums too.

We've shot a few weddings this year with no ring bearers. Is that a "thing" these days, or just for people in my neck of the woods?

We shot several weddings the last several weeks in a row, and as soon as I get caught up editing, I plan to put myself out there to show off, and get some creative and constructive critique. We hadn't had venues that allowed sparkler send offs, but had 2 in the past months, so I'll throw some out there. The first one was ROUGH, by following youtube instructions, the last wedding went better, but I was using my instincts, and not listening to the youtube pros. Those may be the first ones I post.

Jay, I love that photo as well. Very cute and great concept. I can probably post one of a snotty faced baby crying, but it doesn't have the "cute" factor at all... HAHA.

Well, I had a good one. I had trouble getting her to stop posing and started to get worried I would use up my memory card on her instead of the bride. However, she was only 6 and crashed and burned while traveling around to photo locations with the bridal party. Too cold and windy. She recovered in time for the reception though.

Sparkler send offs? Ever had a cannon?

Nope, that's a new one to me.

I tell you what, after pixel peeping the sparkler shots, don't ever go with the suggestions on youtube. I'm starting to think that they are trying to sabotage the competition.

Using a flash (or 2) at low power made all the difference. I still have 4 albums to finish up, and I plan to post some SOOC of both following the YT insructions, and just going with my gut. The gut (mine is big) also won out "big"
