My Image, Your View: The Estrella Mountains

This is an image in the Estrellas that I have worked on and sort of got it to where I like it. I'm curious to see what all of you experts will do with it!
Feel free to download this image to your computer. Then you can edit the photo as you see fit. Composites, adjustments, color shifts, inversions, black and white conversions etc. Then, when your edit is complete, you can post it in this thread. Edits will be accepted until Thursday at 9pm Eastern Time. At that time we will begin the voting. Thank you for your continued support of this weekly challenge.

Here you go. As much as I love my artistic experiments I thought I would try and use the skills I have learned to just really enhance the shot. I hope you like it.

As you stated you have worked with this picture quite a bit to get it to where it is and with that in mind I didn't want to change it too much. I decided to give the picture additional contrast and depth. I did add the birds because I thought they could have been there and thought they would add substance not distract. 🤔
As just about every time picture is much better in "Download".

I was struck by the boundaries, of ridges, mountains, and clouds, and directed attention to these "abstract" aspects.

That looks like one of the more modern schools of painting - but I don't know which one. I've seen that affect before, though.

Someone had to do a black and white conversion. I added a cowboy and made it look like an old photo. Really fun photo to work with.

I normally do not try to add things to a photo. Instead, I try to use what is there, to get the point across. In this photo, I wanted to bring the mountains closer to the viewer. A small part of that was a bit of a crop. I just trimmed off the bottom, in order to get it to a 16x9 aspect ratio, which I thought worked well, for this shot. The rest of my attempt to bring the mountains closer had to do with bringing out detail in those mountains, and highlighting them with a subtle, off-center vignette.

It's very nice. Although it doesn't look like a 9 by. Probably could lose more. The vignette works.
