I would check to see if Pentax makes a set of tubes first, I have tried Kenko tubes but found the very aggravating due to the lose of the electrical connection on my Nikons, I ended up buying a set of Nikon tubes, at about twice the price and manual focus only which is not a problem for me since I shoot 99.9% in manual mode. At one time Pentax did have a bellows for the "k" mount cameras and lens.

Hello! No,Pentax doesn't make a tube set. Nothing on their website,anyway!Manual focus is fine with me.I am scouring the offerings on eBay,amazon,B&H.No luck so far. I have a new true 1:1 Pentax macro,but have seen videos using the rings with a 100mm macro lens,and am intrigued!
Thank you for your reply,and have a nice day!

I see a few offerings just now from Ebay. Mostly used sets from Japan. I buy all the time photography equipment from Japan, they seem to take care of their equipment so good, that a lot of stuff it's always in pristine conditions.

I don't think that you are going to find tubes for Pentax that have electronic connections unless they are used and even then it is going to be a bit tough to find a quality set.

It seems that Pentax briefly made them and then stopped, it also seems that third party manufacturers are few and far in between for Pentax.

I use manual tubes. One tip: most tubes I've seen have a small silver button that releases the tube from the camera. You must slide that button one way or the other. Pushing down on it will not release then tube.

I once had bellows... wore it out 20 years ago. Now for macro work with my K1 I use (gasp) a set of magnifying lenses screwed on like filters. A friend who does a lot more of this in a more critical way uses a lens reversal ring. All manual.

I bought the cheapest set on Amazon, Zykkor;

https://smile.amazon.com/Zykkor-Extension-Pentax-Digital-Cameras/dp/B0044XAXLU/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3EUZFZ0SLT8KB&keywords=extension+tubes+for+pentax+k+mount&qid=1558436891&s=gateway&sprefix=extension+tubes+for+Pentax%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-6

Manual focus I combined the set with a Pentax 135mm f3.5 M42 with K adapter on K20D. Worked fine the first time then hung up on the extension and camera. Finally worked it apart and bought a lens with close focusing. Not sure if I'll use the Zykkor again. They will get you started but I'd save for a better set with autofocus.

Macro tubes, better know as extension tubes are a poor mans way to close ups. They are not Macro tubes, that is really the wrong phrase, because a Macro lens is specifically made for close ups, it delivers a flat image designed to work well in close up photography.
Now, extension tubes deliver an image with an extremely narrow field of focus, or depth of focus. For example, if enough tubes are staked you may only have a depth of field on 5/16 of an inch, anything closer or further away than that will be out of focus.
Yes, extension tubes are the poor mans macro lens, but it comes at a price. You must be very careful and use the depth of field preview button on your camera to assure correct focus. It also comes at a price of light, the more tubes you use, the more light you loose, the more depth of field is also lost.
