The purchase of a Sony A7R III fell through. The seller decided to keep the camera.

So, I am turning to UHH. Does anyone on "this website" have a Sony A7R III for sale?

I know that several are for sale on ebay, Amazon, and photo stores but I would prefer to purchase the A7R III from someone on this website.

Hope to hear from someone soon....

Tks in advance....

Tough ask. This camera is hot for those that know what it can do. Good luck.
My suggestion is buy the Sony a7s II camera which I own. It is a couple of years
old but still considered one of the gems from Sony. It is selling way below it's
original price. And you can go for a new one.

Does Sony have a re-conditioned site selling A7R III ? That would be a safe alternative to ebay, etc.

I just bought the a7S-II store display camera from the local
BestBuy and I'm blown away by what 12 MP can do. Up to
~ 4.5 ft wide, aliasing is below the "noticeable" threshold
and the lack of noise is astounding, which adds to an overall
impression of sharpness and clarity ... resolution is NOT the
same as sharpness. 12 MP cannot acoarst resolve what 24
or more MP will do, but that is similar to how many angels
can dance on a pinhead. With the a7S-II it's irrelevant "how
many" angels cuz however many are there, they happen to
be the very best dancers, of any angels, on any pinheads,
anywhere ! It's not about the size of your dance company,
it's all about the performance level of those fewer dancers
on hand :-)

I have a Sony A7iii purchased in Nov 2018 in like new condition with a 24-240 lens. It is in perfect working order. I have been thinking about selling it only because I am not using it as much as I thought I would.

I purchased the camera for $1898 and the lens for $738.99. I would sell the camera for $1700 and the lens for $650.

If interested I could send pics.

Can you advise me on how to send pics back to you on this website? I have visited UglyHedgehog for years but have not downloaded any pics. Also, do you know how to determine the shutter count on the A7iii? I have not found a website that is helpful. Almost all the pics I have taken have been with a silent shutter. Thanks.

It sure would be nice if Sony would start up their own reconditioned store again (they had one at one time) like Canon does. I recently rented a Sony a7iii and like it so much that I bought it. I rented it to compare it against my sony a7s for low light subjects. I also have a Sony a99ii which is 42mp like the a7Riii. If I won the lottery I think that I would replace my a99ii and lenses with the a7Riii. It is nice to have the extra resolution of 42mp vs 24 but my computer isn't as happy crunching all that data.. Is it worth the $1000 differance in price? If you are on a budget, No, If you like that extra sparkle of the higher resolution then Yes. For general shooting the a7iii is great. If you like the EXTRA sparkle and can afford it, you won't be disappointed by the a7Riii. The updated fast focus is fantastic on both cameras. That is the main reason I replaced my a7s with the a7iii. I will be selling my a7s if anyone is interested.

Here are pics of the camera. If you are interested in the lens, I will send pics of that too. I also have a 55 1.8 lens I would be willing to sell.

Check the Buy/Sell board on Fredmiranda.com. There are a number of A7R3’s for sale there.
Good luck

The thing is 19 months old, and people expect to find a used / refurbished model available for bargain prices? Not very realistic. Those who have one probably like it enough to keep it a while longer. If they have one, and don't like it-enough to sell it-that is probably because there is something wrong with it....which would be a reason to not buy it. Three, or four, years from now there will probably be a few for sale here. Check back then.

There price on this camera just got a huge reduction. On Amazon its $2598.00
It was up in the 3Ks a short time ago. Don't know what someone would want when
chances are they paid $3200 for it. The a7's resell well. I got a good price for my a7s.
The whole a7 line has dropped prices accept for the a7 III which holds at 2k.
