As most of you know, Adobe recently "price tested" doubling the monthly price of its Photography Plan before retreating back to their normal prices. Many people have expressed concerns. Here's one author's view of the Adobe fiasco:

Perhaps in response to Adobe's "calculus," Anthony Morganti did a segment on Darktable, a free Lightroom alternative

There are Two Tribes - those that like Adobe and those that use alternatives.

Like all the rest of 'Photography' it is an individual thing.

No excuses needed, No justification required, No excuse as to why you can't make up your own mind.

By all means 'research'....but it is always YOUR choice.

Well, most of us know that Adobe did no such thing, all Adobe did was, add an additional option to their prescription plan, there was no price testing or anything else, but give us one more choice! For whatever reason some folks misinterpret a whole set of "stuff" into that!

That's actually incorrect - I had the experience of checking for the $9.99 photo plan and finding it gone. Many other users reported the same thing. After the "test," it was restored. During their test, any customers who signed up at $19.99 would have to have discovered they'd been charged twice the normal rate and call Adobe to complain in order to get the price rolled back. Otherwise, they were screwed.
