Adobe "tried" to test the market by featuring a photography plan that included a terabyte of cloud photo storage. That terabyte enables a lot of functions in interconnected ecosystem of Lightrooms beyond Lightroom Classic. Nowhere did Adobe say, announce or communicate that the basic plan, with minimal cloud storage, was discontinued.
Adobe does have a problem with third party licensing. Older versions of any software licensed through the CC system have licensed code components from various third parties. The assumption has always been that anyone on the CC system stays current. So, there is no problem.
Adobe can't and won't say who is suing them. Internet rumors, emphasize rumors, are that it might be Dolby.
Any product purchased on a perpetual license like CS6, Lightroom 6.14, Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements is NOT included in this situation.
Where their might be a problem is a large school, corporation or other organization that has not kept their users current and create products for sale or public use. We, as individuals, are not big enough to be a target for a law suit.

I don't think anyone will sue you. They rather use the proof that you use it to sue Adobe.

The “Lightroom Queen” said in a blog yesterday that no individual user is getting sued.
