Oops Exposure

Accidentally took a long exposure the other day while shooting outside. I was shooting aperture priority and somehow got my aperture set to F32. The results were interesting. There was a lot of dark trash on the ground and gnats and bugs in the air, so I took a minute to heal out all the really dark spots.

The second photo is a normal exposure taken that day. Much clearer I think.

I like it a lot. Very interesting. No idea she had panties on until exposure 2. Can you explain how that happened?

Not in order, LOL. She was nude for the oops shot.

I agree with Dirty Harry the oops photo is pretty darn good. But I would have to say that I enjoy both of your photos. Good job as always......and brave model if there were a lot of bugs out that day.

No problem. I misunderstood and thought they were the same shot except for settings. I have seen long exposures used to intentionally remove people from shots where they were walking through the area being shot and were not wanted in the shot etc. Since pants were not in second, I assumed she removed them immediately into your time exposure and that somehow they were not there long enough to register.......thought if you did that on purpose, I definitely wanted to understand the technique. Regardless, I enjoy yours and your models posts......especially this accidental long exposure shown here.

Mistakes like #1 should be made more often... 0.8 seconds.... not much time... but to the sensor a long time. This is museum quality... UHH Member Screws Up and Ends Up In Guchenhime Musem of Modern Art.

In reality, this should be on the list of things try when we get tired of the common high-quality 40mp f8 with the camera set on iA photography. At times our modern automated cameras are taking over our lives as in the movie "I Robot"....

I like the first one, as it leaves so much to the imagination

I like them both. The first one is a bit abstract, kinda cool

She is as lovely as always, but the first shot is the main attraction as far as captures go. The only detraction for me is the woodpile in the background draws too much attention even in multiple/fuzzed focus; but I could see you doing a series of shots of this nature in a setting more clear of detritus.
