I thought this would get more attention in the Main Photography forum than the Astrophotography forum but feel free to move it if you must.
For my little portion of the world this Thursday through the following Monday has great potential for photographing the International Space Station. There will be at least two and some days three five and six minute passes each day. Some in the am and others in the pm so whether you're an early riser or late to bed there's a time for you.

See: https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/ and put in your location to see what viewing is available in your neck of the woods. Good luck

Unfortunately, links are verboten in the Main section. I almost never look in the Links section, so I'm sure I miss a lot.

Very often, you can post the message and wait for a few replies. Then you can make a reply of your own and add the link.

I use a free app on my Android phone that can be downloaded from Google Play. It is called ISS Detector by RunaR and when the ISS is about to start it's pass, includes tools that help locate the station. Also shows info on planets and other satellites.

The same website will send you email announcements with info on flyovers based on your location.

Can anyone here tell me if the Space Station rotates on it's own axis once every 8 seconds as it orbits the earth? If it doesn't, then what did I take photos of recently? Thanx

I've been on the spottheststion.nasa.gov for a few years now. Fun to watch this large speck of light move across the sky. FYI, airplanes have a flashing light, ISS does not and disappears into the darkness when the sun's rays no longer reflect off it.
