I thought I had posted this, but haven’t been able to find it.
This exposure was made at the unique (in my experience) bi-level giraffe exhibit at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, CO. The second level provides...guarantees!..mutual, close-up face-to-face perspectives of the giraffe and human.
It occurred to me as I viewed this image again that it might be a good candidate for 3D conversion, and I was right! The 3D conversion complements the original image by amplifying the effect of the close-up view I had of that magnificent beast.
The top image pair is for parallel gaze viewing.
The bottom pair is arranged for crossed gaze viewing.
Note: the 3D conversion is included solely to complement appreciation of the original image, NOT for the purpose of changing the intent of this thread into a discussion of alternative techniques of 3D imagery.

Fascinating, Dave! The light on the eyelashes is great. I like this framing/crop very much.
Dave, I was finally able to view the cross-eyed version but I couldn't hold the crossing of the eyes. Just thought I'd let you know.
