Bellingrath tulips? You decide. Seven in all. Canon 24-105. Topaz Studio and Nik.

Basically, however the look was achieved? Did you use a flash? A black cloth background?

Don't ya just love this time of year?!! Everything is coming up fast and furious and all in glorious color! You've done a magnificent job, Donna, showing (I'm sure) just a glimpse of the tulips at this garden. Your artistic touch is present but certainly not heavy. I love the contrast of the white tulip on dark background. I also love #4, delightful yet different perspective than the "usual" tulip. My favorite is the last, I love how you have the lightest of vignettes to show off this beauty. Lovely exhibition, Donna!

All were taken in late afternoon, Dan, with the sun low, plus the lighting conditions at Bellingrath Gardens is a mixture of sun and deep shade. So...I'd say the lighting was the main influence, and no, I didn't use a flash. For processing, I used Adobe Camera Raw and presets in Topaz Studio and Nik ColorEfex. I need to start recording my steps, because I can never remember which presets I use and in which order. I usually just try one and then another until I find what I like, and I also stack presets and lower opacity as needed. Hope that helps.

I'm so glad you enjoyed these, my lovely friend, and I'm always thrilled when you leave your wonderful comments! Oh yes! This is my favorite time of year in spite of all the rain, but we need it for all that spring growth, don't we! You're so right about the gardens. The tulips were glorious, and they feature different colors each year. This year the colors were shades of reds and white, and yes, these were just a drop in the bucket. Thank you so much, Carla! You and Phillip are just going to have to come down this way one of these days and let us show you around!
