Constitutional Amendment Limiting Women's Health Care Choices??

Be sure to check out the lies the GOP is spreading about Women's Reproductive Rights

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/21/gop-platform-abortion_n_1815021.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular#slide=more227812

Yikes! Just when you think the GOP can't get any worse for women...

Don't even TRY to tell me that that idiot Akin doesn't represent the Republican Party. This plank of their platform mirrors EXACTLY what he thinks - punish the rapist but forbid the abortion. I wonder how many women are on the Republican platform committee, and what the was gender-wise to adopt this plank.

This is fact, not hyperbole. You really don't think Republicans are supporting this? Get your head out of the sand and read.

Are you really stupid enough to think that they could put such an amendment thru Congress ? Talk is cheap....

greymule, I think you'll have to agree the article from Huff-Post is quite vague on the important points, and it wasn't even a slow news day. In light of the Todd Akins incident I can't believe they need a "filler".
If the GOP is involved in a war against women, how did they wind up with so many outstanding women in their ranks?
I, personally don't believe in abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or threat to the mother's life. However, since I don't expect to be pregnant, my personal feeling really has nowhere to go. I recuse myself.

Danilo - I agree with rape, incest, threat to the mothers life also. Otherwise I would not feel good letting the individual enjoy life and sex and think I am going to pay for an abortion.

Huffington Post is a liberal propaganda agency. You cannot believe everything that is published there, it is exagerations and outright lies.

It is the woman's choice. And it is not a choice taken lightly. A life is special, but there is no point bringing a child into the world if it is not going to be wanted, loved, adequately looked after etc.
You can also add that many medications make it necessary for the woman not to get pregnant such as anti psychotic drugs.

it may be the womans choice but, ask any philosepher how much unchecked abortion effects the rest of us.there are many waiting to take in unwanted babies. since row v wade we have to go to foriegn lands to make up for the shortfall. last but not least, there are so many effective ways to avoid pregnancy that no woman has to be caught in a bad way. one last thing to consider, incest where the 2 yr older rule aplies ,falls under rape.between consenting adults, the baby doesn"t need to get the death sentence. unless incest is an ongoing thing in the family ,the odds of a defective baby are the same as nonrelated babies.

My grandfather had a saying believe half of what you read and half of what you hear. Wisdom is knowing which half to believe.
