This is the Sage Brush Inn in Taos NM. We were returning to our room after dinner when I saw this scene. I hurried to my room to grab my camera. I was very happy with how it turned out. I think I captured the warmth of the light and the sense of peacefulness I saw. Your comments and thoughts are appreciated.

Love your pp, a style which wasn't obvious until I did the famous "double download"

The view through the arch is very enjoyable, definitely a feeling of serenity and warm light IMO. What disturbs that mood for me is the busy right side, especially that the white area caught my eye immediately. What do you think about cloning out the white, but leaving the yellow reflection?

A lovely scene. Perhaps the bright patches on the right should be cloned over or cropped out.

Great light/shadow play and color. The depth pulls one right in.

Thanks Linda! I went back and forth with myself on cropping out more of the right side but it changed the composition. I didnโ€™t think about just cloning it out. Great idea!

Thank you Larry and I agree about cloning out the white. I should have thought about that myself but thatโ€™s why I come here to you guys. I know you will steer me in the right direction.

I suggest just cropping in from the lower right. It will also deal with the yellow blob.

I don't mind the white area after my edit. I lowered the Highlights that improved that area then opened up the shadows moving slider all the way. All of a sudden I saw so much of the texture on the walls them gave the picture additional impact.

Wowsa, that's gorgeous. We must work on bringing Keni back from the dark side!

Oh wow Jim I love that! Linda is right I lean to the dark side but you lit it beautifully. You can now tell that is another opening on the right or I can anyway.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

It changed the perspective for me so I decided not to crop it.
