Hey, thats like Deja Vu all over again!
Yogi is my favorite philosopher! Best life advice was "when you come to a fork in the road, take it!"

He had so many, including "it an't over 'til it's over."
When in NJ you need to visit the museum dedicated to yogi on the Montclair State University campus. Well worth you time. Actually met him once at the Montclair Country Club. Just as great in person as he was on the little screen.

One year Don Larsen and Yogi came to a card show in Arlington, TX. Perhaps our (my son's and my) prized possession is a ball autographed by both. I had just a moment to speak to him. He liked Tiger Stadium. He said it was a good hitters' park. When I was eight I wrote him a letter. I got a b&w signed picture postcard back from him. I can't tell if the autograph is printed or real, but it was great to get something back. I still have it.
Have they ever recovered his rings? Whoever stole them should be shot!!

I live in the neighborhood where Yogi grew up. Here's his boyhood home (literally across the street from Joe's) and the restaurant where he and Joe worked as teenagers. Rigazzi's remains a neighborhood favorite.

???? So no body goes, but it's too crowded....hmmmm
"I can't tell if the autograph is printed or real" It was real, because Yogi is the real deal! I am going to photograph on June 22, the Jackals Baseball Game and Fireworks.
“If you don’t know where you are going how will you know when you get there”
Sorry it's at Montclair State, and I don't know how to get their. I only live right around the corner. Is this a good GPS address:?

That came to mind right away. Supposedly, there was a legitimate reason for that statement. When driving to his house, you could take either fork in the road to get there. Maybe that's true, and maybe it isn't.
All around good guy, D Day Vet, dedicated family man, loyal friend and the best catcher in the history of baseball.
