She's not holding a smart phone. She is actually reading something. Weird.

Loving the back lighting on her silver tresses and vibrant crimson jacket...
Nicely framed albeit the vehicles in the background are a distraction and instantly date this narrative...
Moving forward think carefully about what is behind, to either side and in the foreground while composing...

Had this been a "clean" background with only architectural elements it could have been timeless...

Best advice if you want to shoot "Street"? Study the Masters of this craft... i.e. Saul Leiter for color and Henri Cartier-Bresson for monochromes... etc.

Thank you for sharing tankc

Thank you, Thomas. Well, what I saw at the time was a person looking down at something other than a smart phone and I wanted to take that shot. I did not have a lot to say about what was in the background. I suppose that without needing much thought, I could come up with a background that would do as you suggest and add it in post. This was just a snapshot of a day in a life. Nothing more, nothing less. But still, kind of cool. I do always appreciate you comments and suggestions. They are always good. Thank you once again!

Tom
