I'm playing with some ideas for an upcoming music project. Any thoughts are welcome!

Love the first.
It is mysterious and sexy, but not sure what you mean by using these for an upcoming music project.
thanks. The music project is a new album in development by the woman in the picture. She's searching for shots that capture the mood of some of her songs to use in future market releases. I'm not sure what she thinks of these, but in fact I was looking for the very thing you said "mysterious and sexy". We'll see if she finds them that way, or if they match her music. For full disclosure, she is my daughter which means I might not get the hard critique from her that I hope to hear from this group.
"...hard critique..." the first image has an aura of mystique latent within... albeit the vivid green background elements are somewhat of a distraction... might try this on gray seamless instead... and illuminate with a large softbox 45 degrees off axis...
food for thought: sexual objectification i.e. treating a person as a mere object of sexual desire a.k.a. portraying a person as a commodity without regard to their personality or dignity is not one of my favorite narratives... One I try seriously to avoid and have turned down clients and assignments over.
In fact I will not consider creative testing with models who's books are dominated with the aforementioned imagery... I have rather compelling reasons for this... I work primarily in the beauty genre and many of my models are 15 to 17 year olds who are aspiring for agency representation... There parents manage their portfolios and typically will not consider letting their daughter work with photographers who primarily shoot glamour...
By the same token I will no longer do themes involving tobacco, alcohol or firearms...

I wish you and your charming daughter well Traore
All the best on your journey
thanks Thomas. I completely agree with your views on objectification and my use of "sexy" may have prompted that observation. That might have been sloppy language use on my part, certainly I don't intend that for my daughter. However (and I believe this would be her view too) seeking an alluring image need not include objectification, but I suppose this conversation is straying from the UHH purpose.
As to your other point about the vivid green, I'm not sure if I agree but I am going to try that. It definitely helps to have more eyes on a photo to understand how it impacts people! Thanks very much for your careful comments.

As one who doesn't qualify to give a critique I can only voice an opinion. The first image is an astonishing mystery due to the hat covering her eyes. I usually try to show the eyes, but it works very well. A lovely daughter/model for sure.
The second image is one that works very well even with all the dead space, I absolutely love it. My suggestion would be to crop/clone out the top border. Maybe add a musical instrument, such as her holding a guitar by the neck and the base resting on the floor with the same pose.
Not quite sure of the music project, maybe an inside/front or back cover of an album/CD ? Not exactly sure which sequence would work best. Nice work with both images !!!
Dave
Hard to tell if they match her music without hearing the music...but I like both shots.
I like both shots but:
#1 seems a bit "nostril-y". Maybe tip her head down a touch or raise the camera?
#2 her feet look disproportionately large. I know athletic wear is "hip" but not flattering (unless you go for big feet). And I think the upper gold border is irrelevant to the theme.
Best of luck to your (y'all's) adventures!
